Look ahead to the distant blue horizon and you follow a soft line of snowy peaks .These are the Rhone Alps. Under the shelter of Monte Pourri´s three and a half kilometres altitude, Villaroger is on the small promontory over looking the beautiful valley below.

Not far south is Peisey Nancroix. On the Northern side of the Vanoise national park in the Haute Tarrantaise,Villaroger and Peisey Nancroix at just over a kilometre of altitude enjoy heavy snow and a long exiting ski season . Formally rural villages Villaroger and Peisey Nancroix customers will ski in the great skiing areas of ´Les Arcs de Bourg Saint Maurice´ which boasts one of the longest skiable pistes in Europe the high velocity Olympic piste from the summit of L´Aiguille Rouge (the red needle.) There is even a seven kilometre piste straight down to the village! One is also not far from ´Arc Pierre Blanche´ ´Arc 1800 ,´and ´Arc 2000´. And for 2003 there is a high speed shuttle taking only seven minutes from Bourg to les Arcs.

Villaroger is a quiet, unspoilt ski resort, unlike any of the modern resorts. If you are looking for peace and quiet, alongside almost private skiing - no time wasted queuing here - then this is the place for you.

There is a brand new blue piste for moderate skiers and for the more adventurous, Villaroger is home to the longest black piste in the world - 16km in length and a stunning 2km drop.

There are around four restaurants in Villaroger - all serving traditional, local food, one half way up a mountain! Nightlife is quiet - candlelit meals, warming drinks and walks
